Olympic ski area around Innsbruck/Igls
The Patscherkofel, at 2.200 m - the mountain in Igls’ backyard - has its cable car station just 300 m from the SPORTHOTEL. A beautiful ski-area with olympic and family runs as well as slopes for beginners. Snow is guaranteed from December till the end of sunny March using the latest snow making machines. The “Olympia express” four person chair lift carries 1.600 people an hour to the ski areas through a picturesque landscape. The whole Olympic ski area along with the Stubai Glacier offers 130 km of runs with 63 lifts going up to 3.200 m. A free ski shuttle bus runs to the Stubaier Gletscher on Tuesday and Friday from just outside the hotel door.
Ski schools & children
Snowsport Igls – Wolfgang Platzer just opposite our Sporthotel offers elementary courses, ski school for children and guided ski tours, carving, snowboard and cross-country as well as an active-wellness program with snow-shoe hiking, snow-cruising and winter-nordic-walking.
Bobo’s Kinderclub: This miniclub for children from the age of 3 years onwards teaches skiing in a "playing style" and we are sure all young guests will enjoy it.
1) Miniclub with 2 1/2 hours daily for children from 3 years of age
2) Children's club for those between 5 and 14 years: 2 1/2 hours for beginners or 4 hours for more advanced skiers. Lunch can also be provided. They will look after your children with loving care and provide pleasure through entertainment and games.
3) They also look after those children who do not wish to ski!!

Olympic bobsleigh run Igls
At the Olympic bobsleigh run you also have the opportunity to experience an exciting run through the famous loop and the labyrinth at over 100 km/h. A special attraction - where you speed down in a bobsleigh steered by an experienced driver.
Winter hiking paths
All winter hiking paths are cleared of snow around Igls:
allowing you to walk easily to Patsch or Lans each about 2,5 km.
Tobogganing
When conditions allow you can walk up to Patscherkofel-Heiligwasser in about 1 ½ hours, and enjoy a well-maintained natural toboggan run (approx. 3 km) back through the pine woods to Igls.
Ice skating
There is daily ice skating at the ice rink behind the Patscherkofel cable car station, from 10.00 a.m. till 8.00 p.m. (and you can rent skates)
Tennis
5 minutes walk from the Sporthotel in the "Kurpark" is a tennis hall with 3 indoor sand courts and one indoor squash court
